What is the LEAP programme?

LEAP is a government-backed partnership that provides free energy advice and home support to households who need it most.

It’s designed to reduce fuel poverty, improve home energy efficiency, and make sure vulnerable households stay safe and warm—especially in winter.

The programme is available in many parts of the UK and is delivered by local councils, housing providers and trusted partners like Warmify.

Who is eligible for LEAP?

You may be eligible for free support through LEAP if:

  • You live in England or Wales
  • You are a homeowner or rent your home privately
  • You are on a low income or receive benefits
  • You have a long-term health condition or disability
  • You are over 65, or have children under 5 in your home
  • Your home is hard to heat or has a low EPC rating
